Bank Hotel Kunming: It's Not A Bank At All
Bank Hotel Kunming is not a bank, it is a hotel located in Kunming, China along the bank of the PanLong River, hence the name Bank Hotel Kunming. If you stay at the Bank Hotel Kunming you may be able to witness the Siberian red-beak seagulls just outside your window or door because they like to play along the bank of the river there. But you won’t be able to open a checking account at the Bank Hotel Kunming.
The rooms at the Bank Hotel Kunming are large and lavish and the expert services are impeccable, you will surely enjoy your stay at this fine, upscale hotel. You won’t need to take out a loan to stay at the Bank Hotel Kunming either because the rates are fabulous at around $115 USD per night. And you can play a CD in the cd player alarm clock there, but you won’t be able to check the rates of a CD at the Bank Hotel Kunming.
I haven’t personally been to China, so I haven’t stayed at the Bank Hotel Kunming, but the online reviews of the hotel are outstanding from what I can find. People who have stayed at this hotel have stated that they have been treated like royalty, that the hotel caters to travelers and tourists, and that the food is out of this world. I’ve not yet come across any bad reviews at all about the Bank Hotel Kunming.
When staying at the Bank Hotel Kunming there are plenty of things to do. You can take a hike up the Western Hill to the Dragon’s Gate. If you aren’t into hiking, walk up about half way and you will find a ski lift waiting to escort you the rest of the way up the hill. You won’t want to miss the famous Stone Forest. Admission is a bit pricey at RMB 80 but this is a real “can’t miss” tourist attraction. The Stone Forest is about 120 km from Bank Hotel Kunming, but that’s not considered far in this region.
You will certainly enjoy browsing the street markets of Kunming. I think I would save my appetite for the Bank Hotel Kunming food, though, as one traveler mentioned seeing brains in a bowl for sale from one street vendor.
